Kates Bridal Session-Houston, TX

I had a great bridal session in Houston this last weekend.  The challenge was going to be an unfamiliar area and weather.

I called my friend and fellow colleague Jesus Tirso about two months ago and he was awesome about assisting me with locations.  As an added benefit he volunteered to help me while I was down.  Jesus thank you for your help!

Before the photo shoot began we had a 30% chance of rain that went to 100% rain.  While hair & make-up were being done I drove around and scouted some locations and added the notes to my iPhone so in case it rained we would have multiple locations to choose from.   However, we were able to get some fantastic images without trashing the dress before the wedding day.

Let me say that Ms. Kates is an awesome bride and I can’t wait to document her wedding day.  She has an ease in front of the camera and it made this overcast -rainy day have some very bright moments.  We had a fun time and pushed it to the limit.

Enjoy!

Cheers, Charlie

Sin City

We just got back from Las Vegas last week took some photos for fun.  We saw David Cook perform and it was a really great concert!  I really liked  the lighting sequences they used for the concert.

I also went and did a tour of the Boneyard, it is a fun tour and very informative of early of years of Las Vegas (although the taxi ride round trip cost $60, it was still worth it).  I recommend visiting it, as the proceeds go to a future expansion for the museum and it helps with the renovation of the signs.  Enjoy!

Three in Concert

We went to a concert of local talent last night (well they live here, but they have a large following around the country).  Since my daughter and niece had reserved VIP front row passes we decided we could not miss it.  The three performers were Maggie McClure, Laura Gossett, and Josh Roberts .  They were all awesome and it was very entertaining & enjoyable (makes me wish I was a singer, but I know my limitations – they held their audience – I know what would happen if I attempted it – RUN!)  Maggie is going to school, but travels around the region entertaining, Laura is on her way to L.A. (good luck girl-call me when the big day comes :) )  & Josh is on his way to Nashville – good luck – follow your dreams.  Anyway, I am sure that if you click on their names and come across some music you like they would appreciate your support.

Enjoy!  Charlie
