Army vs. Texas A&M – Sept. 27, 2008

The fall has arrived and once again we make our annual road trip down to Aggieland.  This week Army traveled to College Station for the last of the two game series.  For those who want to experience a tradition rich college football experience Aggieland is a must.

This weekend was extra special, because about 500 West Point cadets traveled to the football game.  The Corps formed at the Quad, the cannon fired with a loud roar and the Aggie Band stepped off with the Aggie War Hymn.  The West Point cadets marched right behind as the Aggie Band played their drum cadence to Kyle Field.  The next thing that happens no one can choreograph, but as Aggies lined the street of Routt and Houston they began to cheer the cadets as they marched all the way to Kyle.

There was a flyover of Apache helicopters and four Golden Knights parachuted into Kyle Field all landing on the block T.  A football field size flag was unfurled by the Corps at half time with Texas A&M Singing Cadets singing God Bless America.  Proud to be an Aggie.  Here are some photos of our weekend.
